Principal's Message
Thank you for visiting our website.
We serve students from each borough of New York City, in grades 9-12, and we are located just steps from Wall Street in Manhattan's Financial District. Our administration, faculty and staff are a dedicated group of professionals committed to the educational success of all students attending our school.
Our students are offered a full academic program, including courses in advanced college placement, business, economics and finance. In addition, students may participate in numerous partnerships we have created with community-based organizations such as W!SE, NAF, NFTE, VE International, Carnegie Hall, NY Historical Society, Citigroup, Moody's Corporation and various colleges.
We are recognized as a Silver Medalist among America's Best High Schools by the U.S. News and World Report. We are proud to state that most of our graduates pursue college studies and that many of our alumni enjoy successful careers in financial services and other related fields.

Principal's Bio
Michael Stanzione was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Brooklyn and Queens where he, too, attended a NYC Public High School. He began his teaching career as a teacher of business education and math shortly after graduating from college in 1994. He also served as an Academy of Finance coordinator during his years as a teacher.
Prior to being appointed principal in August 2007, he was an assistant principal administration and business education from September 2001 through August 2007. His teaching experience also includes business courses in the Business Administration Department at Berkeley College and a course in the methods of teaching in the Education Department at Pace University. He also has taught the 9th grade Writing Seminar at the school for the past several years and developed the Future Teachers of New York City seminar for high school students interested in becoming school teachers. He held several positions on the Executive Board of the Business Education Association of Metropolitan New York, including First Vice President. During this time, he worked with committees to improve business programs in the NYC Public High Schools and organized conferences for professional development activities for teachers of business subjects in all grade levels.
He also serves on advisory committees and focus groups for the New York City Department of Education, including Career and Technical Education, Advanced College Placement for Black and Latino Young Men, and LGBTQIA+ Youth Support. He is a member of the ASCD and the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
