AP United States History- This course will teach you about the cultural, economic, political, and social developments that have shaped the United States from c. 1491 to the present. You’ll analyze texts, visual sources, and other historical evidence and write essays expressing historical arguments. Skills you will learn include: (1)Evaluating primary and secondary sources; (2) Analyzing the claims, evidence, and reasoning you find in sources; (3) Putting historical developments in context and making connections between them; (4) Coming up with a claim or thesis and explaining and supporting it in writing. This course culminates with NYS United States History & Government Regents Examination and the College Board AP® United States History Examination

 

United States History - This course begins with the colonial and constitutional foundations of the United States and explores the government structure and functions written in the Constitution. The development of the nation and the political, social, and economic factors that led to the challenges our nation faced in the Civil War are addressed. This course culminates with the NYS United States History & Government Regents Exam

 

AP European History- This course will teach you about the cultural, economic, political, and social developments that have shaped Europe from c. 1450 to the present. You will analyze texts, visual sources, and other historical evidence and write essays expressing historical arguments. Skills you will learn include: (1) Evaluating primary and secondary sources; (2) Analyzing the claims, evidence, and reasoning you find in sources; (3) Putting historical developments in context and making connections between them; (4) Coming up with a claim or thesis and explaining and supporting it in writing


AP African American Studies (Virtual Course) - This interdisciplinary course reaches in a variety of fields - literature, the arts and humanities, political science, geography, and science - to explore the vital contributions and experiences of African Americans.
